The festival will take place in Barcelona for the third time and will be a perfect leisure option for those spending an Easter getaway in the Catalonian capital. For five days, festival guests will have the unique opportunity to admire 14 grand flower installations that will appear on the streets and squares of the city. Moreover, visitors will be able to view the exhibitions of orchids and myriad other flowers, bonsai art exhibitions, as well as rose decorations, and other blooming attractions.
A new element to the festival also has been planned for this year: a huge flower carpet with a total size of 28 square meters, with the patron of Barcelona, Sant Jordi, depicted on it. This enormous image will be created throughout the day on Thursday. The opening of the school for floristic décor, Rosa Valls Formació, will be another surprising feature of this year’s events.
Festival organizers collaborate with such organizations as Gremi de Florista de Catalunya, els Amics del Jardí Botànic, and L'Àrea d'Ecologia Urbana de l'Ajuntament de Barcelona.
