Daytime camps at the British, American, and international schools in Spain

These camps refer to the summer courses organized by private schools in Spain. The courses are organized for the month of July and sometimes August. There are definite advantages to these programs, especially when it comes to the schools that employ the English or American systems of education. First of all, all of the teachers are native speakers of the language used in the program. Second, the classes are held on vast school grounds, and as a result, children may be fully immersed in an entirely different type of educational system. Third, the above-mentioned schools boast large grounds that enable students to learn, not only by studying in the classrooms, but also by engaging in numerous sports and entertainment activities. Finally, the schools are located on the outskirts of the large cities. This means that parents have quick access to the schools. In many schools, 2 language programs are offered: one in English and another in Spanish. However, there is a substantial setback to these schools: the majority of them do not provide accommodation. In other words, they offer daytime camps only.

Summer programs of the language schools in Spain

This section refers to the camps that are organized by language schools in Spain. The English language is the most popular language in the Spanish language camps, where Spanish is the second language used. These English camps in Spain have a distinctive feature that helps them to stand out among other schools: they provide accommodation for children attending the camp. To stay only during the daytime is not an option at some camps due to the unique nature of the programs they offer. The cost of studying in the camps does not include the flight tickets to Spain. However, in the majority of cases, the camps offer transfers from and to the airport upon the arrival and departure of their students.

Enfocamp summer international camp

• Location: branches of this summer language camp are open in seven Spanish cities: Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Marbella, Salamanca, Sevilla, and Valencia.
• Children’s age: 5 - 18 years old, depending on the city.
• Programs: 4-5 hours of English from Monday to Friday, depending on the city, with field trips included. There is an option to choose the daytime camps only as well as an option for accommodation.

• Location:  Catalonia, in the towns Vallclara, Poblet, Tamarit, Prades, Serdania.
• Children’s age: 5-17 years old.
